Ruth Harrison Fuller

Caffeinated Problem Solver

About

Born and raised in Virginia, I received my Bachelors degree in Political Science (minor in Sociology) followed by my Masters in Teaching from Christopher Newport University before setting out on my own into the great unknown.

After brifely teaching and tutoring both in local and international schools, I fell in love with the technology world via working at two technology non-profits, the Technology Association of Oregon (formerly SAO) and the Drupal Association. I then moved into the for profit sector growing my customer interaction and client marketing skillset as the Customer Engagement Specialist at BlackMesh, Inc a big player in the Drupal world in enterprise cloud hosting who expanded into other communities with its acquisition by Contigix. I then moved onto Customer Success Manager at Aquafold, a database and analytics integration software when it was aquired by IDERA a leader in the SQL, database and IT tools market. I was responsible for all aspects of the current customer lifecycle and transitioning it into the IDERA workflow. Currently, I am a Head of Renewals with UsableNet working to help cleints utilize our suite of tools and services to not only create but maintain ADA compliant websites.

My background and personal skills have been a wonderful fit in the client/account support area as well as implementation management and community engagement marketing. I excel at assessing efficiency gaps, possess a broad strategic perspective, and am a problem solver advocating on behalf of client and community needs. My natural people skills combined with a teaching degree aid me as an information liaison between the tech team and client. I am verse in process mapping current workflows and integrating teams processes into one. My political background aids me in engaging an appropriate voice when interacting with any scale of audience and rallying them to a cause. It all really boils down to a great respect and appreciation for the coding geniuses of the world and a commitment to excellent customer/community service and business needs.

In my free time I enjoy a latte (preferably in giant bowl size) with a good book or marathoning Netflix. Once over caffeinated, I like getting out and exploring the great outdoors and being on the water. Having previously lived in Portland and Austin, I was full time in an Airstream traveling the USA taking in all there is to experience prior to COVID. My husband and I now live in my Virginia homestate in a beautiful waterfront village forever working on our 1800's farmhouse or classic Typhoon sailboat. With us on this adventure is our dog (who we're mildly obsessed with) a 115+lb fur baby named Lady Bird, a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and total (loud) lovebug.
